Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center
Tuesday, October 12, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. EDT
This special Zoom tour takes visitors on a cross-country trip from Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner's barn studio in East Hampton, New York, to the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver, Colorado. Shortly before Pollock's death, he and fellow artist Clyfford Still planned a road trip heading West. The trip never happened, as Pollock was killed in a car accident. This program celebrates the friendship and work of these two pioneering abstract expressionists. Still is best known for his massive abstract paintings made with bold streaks of color and Pollock for his groundbreaking poured paintings. Joyce will guide visitors through the Pollock-Krasner studio, followed by a presentation with Kendra Keenan, Educator and Group Tour Coordinator, at the Clyfford Still Museum.
